Psychotherapy in English
You have arrived at a point in your life where all actions seem devoid of meaning.
You feel exhausted, sad, empty and lonely. You are tired beyond belief.......... Together we can see where your pain is rooted, investigate the causes of your anxieties, your fears.........see how all this began........... There is no need to go on feeling like this; together we can find ways to accepting yourself for who you really are, enabling you to make better choices, to create a better life for yourself. |
What does the therapy involve?I start by listening to you attentively, by offering you the shelter of my room, by making an analysis, together with you, of your complicated life; your painful situation, your anxieties, your fears... Whatever it is that is bothering you, whatever it is that impedes your functioning in a satisfactory way, whatever it is that makes you feel lonely, sad and dissatisfied with yourself and your life.

Analytical therapyMy education was based on the ideas of Garl Gustav Jung; a Swiss psychiatrist who lived in the previous century. His ideas involve the unconscious part of the psyche which is so tremendously vast, so much bigger than the conscious part of our minds. We think we take the most important decisions in our lives with the conscious part of our minds. Whereas it becomes increasingly clear that the unconscious –in a mysterious way- continually steers fate.
My method involves an integral way of looking at you and your specific patterns by using a variety of methods apart from Jung and the unconscious. I also use techniques for relaxation by breathing exercises and cognitive therapy. |
There are 2 ways for treatment:
1. A relatively short period of time, meaning approximately 6 sessions, in which we look at your problems at hand; at events that are extremely bothering you for example at work, in your relationship(s), etc., we can fight an impending burn-out....... Taking the first step towards therapy might be hard, but also very important. Finding a good therapist might also not be easy, but in my case I was lucky. I believe that having a good connection with the therapist is essential, as well as being able to build trust and mutual understanding. Elze puts a lot of effort into her work, she makes sure her patients feel welcome and in good hands. She creates a safe environment that allows the sessions to be efficient. Among her strengths is to adapt to the state of the patient and adjust each session correctly. No matter the topic, our conversations come naturally, and by the end everything seems clear. She helps me understand why I feel certain ways as well as suggest ways to make me feel better. I have visited Elze for nearly six months now, but I could feel the results already after a few first sessions. Mental health recovery is a long process and it requires time and care, but it will be worth it. I trust her and the process and I am especially motivated as I can see the progress. I believe Elze will be a great choice for many other patients like me.

2. A longer period of time in which we go back to your youth (usually the origin of disruptive, destructive tendencies in adulthood), it reveals WHY your life has become so unbearable, WHY you are experiencing so much pain, so much sadness. Patterns that keep repeating themselves originate from events that took place in your youth and will be brought to the surface. And that’s where the unconscious comes in, because that is the place where all your painful memories have been stored, waiting to be faced by you. |
Who is Elze Moons?
Most of my working life I was a teacher of English in Secondary Education, later followed by private tuition in French, Spanish and Dutch as a second language.
Only later in life did I acknowledge my deepest desire; my ability of helping people in an unsettling inner crisis. I decided to study Analytical Therapy and Depth Psychology for 4 years at the Jungian Institute where I developed my talents of exchanging a deep personal contact between myself and my clients.
